WELCOME TO THE EPIDEMIC!

This is a club inspired by Osmosis Jones, and more specifically by Thrax, the movie's villain and the smexiest virus in the world Thus, the whole club is intended for creating viruses and bacterium (you know, the baddies), but also white and red blood cells, brain cells, every kind of microbe that may cross your mind.

There's but one rule; HAVE FUN!

MISS/MISTER VIRUS 2009

As I sent everyone of you a note or a message, many already know the rules of this contest. For those whose inbox is a bitch, here they are again:

The contest will be divided in two main branches, one for males and one for females. There will be various levels, such as the Fashion Parade (that for first selections), the Casual Dress Contest, the Swim-Suit Contest, the Evening Dress Contest.

And most importantly, your contestant must explain us what he/she is gonna do if victory is meant to be their! Because the prize is a first place in Thomas Hall of Fame as a beauty star!

If you wish to take part into the contest, send us a note, then, at the official start of the contest, post and send us your entry in which you show your virus in his usual suit, specifying which category you want it in (Male or Females) and why do they participate. After the first selections, remaining contestants will be divided in couples that will have to “fight” to get the next level of the competition. Each one shall send a deviation (drawing, splash page, comic, whatever you wish) illustrating how they pwn their opponent by the end of a pre-established limit of time. If the contestant won’t post his piece within 24h the deadline, they’ll be considered out of the contest. Also, who wishes to withdraw from it, please send the club a note.

Little edit to the rules: since many asked, remember you can use a top of TWO viruses, and if you do, they must be a male and a female! Otherwise, just one.


And now, I want to introduce you our lovely Jury Ladies, who shall decide the King and Queen of this beauty contest!





The judgement will be expressed by sending a note to the club in which the judge will vote their favorite picture, and the contestant getting the majority of preferences will pass onto the next round. The vote shall remain secret unless a judge decides to make it public.

FANFICTIONS!

Since the very birth of this club, some of our members wrote a few fanfictions about our viral characters, first of all ~anonymousfangirl with her "Sanctified" [link] a one-shots collection and three storylines in one, flowing and for every taste. Then we got our ~TorrentWave's work, "The Epidemic" [link] again a series of one-shots incredibly well-written. Also, "Alcyota, Virales, Viridae, Virinae, Virus" [link] by ~CheshireCatGrin about her own viral characters. But we also have many other stories on our forum and also here on DA, you just need to rummage a little and find them

Could we limit ourselves to "simple" drawings and writings? Of course not. We went finding glory on Youtube too, and we started very well with ~bleedingcrow's video, "Osmosis Jones Virus" [link] about how a Spanish Flu works its way inside a body Then, it came =WillowWhiskers' turn, with her "Let's Do It" slideshow of Epidemic pictures [link] Last but not least, ~Taraqwen created her Athena's "blog" [link] then Anna's ([link]) and Mara's ([link]) ones, with a really cute overall effect Plus, she made a slideshow video about Mr.Black with a very suiting song: [link]
